Having been with Lendhub for over three years now, this past Friday marked my fourth time attending the Finance Professional (FP) Show at Olympia London. Witnessing our brand’s evolution over the years—from new branding to company growth and strategic milestones—each show has reflected the ways we’ve grown and matured as a company. Through two rebrands and continuous improvements and upgrades to our processes and products, it’s rewarding to see how far we’ve come, especially this year with our biggest presence yet.

This year was particularly special for me, as we had the honour of winning the award for "Most Creative Stand," a fantastic recognition for our team, our brand, and the hard work that goes into creating an inviting, memorable experience for our visitors.

This show was a standout experience that not only celebrated our achievements but also marked an exciting look forward as we continue to make waves in the industry.

Lendhub at The FP Show

For Lendhub, the FP Show is one of the most important events of the year, and this was our 6th time exhibiting. Each year brings new opportunities to connect with industry professionals, strengthen relationships with existing customers, and educate potential clients on what we have to offer.

Reconnecting with familiar faces and expanding our network within this ever-growing industry were our main objectives of the day.

This year, we were especially excited as it marked the first London show since the launch of our new website and rebrand back in June, providing the perfect setting to highlight Lendhub’s refined brand identity and showcase a sneak peek of our upcoming bespoke tech platform to our London audience.

A Look at Our Exhibition Stand

Our stand this year was purposefully positioned in a prime location, ensuring high visibility to all expo visitors. Designed with a minimalistic, clean aesthetic, it perfectly reflected our new brand identity, combining our blue-red-purple gradient for a soft, modern, and professional look. The most eye-catching feature was our LED video wall, which played a looping animation that showcased our tech-centric approach and drew attendees in from a distance.

Lendhub has a reputation for providing memorable experiences for our stand visitors. This year, we swapped our classic rolled ice cream for sweet and savoury crepes—the savoury element was added based on feedback from previous shows. The crepes were a huge success, with savoury toppings running out by midday and the last crepe served at 3pm (an hour and a half before the event’s end!). Alongside the crepes, we had a pick ‘n mix wall, branded tote bags, sports water bottles, and informational flyers to keep visitors engaged and educated about Lendhub.

The Team Behind the Booth

We had a strong team presence this year, including our Origination team: Darius Shekarrizi (Business Development Director), and our BDMs, Charlotte Rayson, Costas Arpapi, and Michael Barclay Smith, with analysts and underwriters like Tom Williams, Jack Bruce, and Theo Goodman discussing deals and even issuing terms on the spot.

We were then joined later in the day by Lendhub’s leadership team: Christopher Adamou (CEO & Founder), Richard Nordgreen (Managing Director), Max Herman (Director), and Prod Adamou (Director). The team was fully committed to representing Lendhub’s expertise, meeting potential new customers, and showcasing our products and services to the broad array of visitors.

Product and Service Highlights

We used the FP Show to spotlight our core loan offerings: Bridging, Refurbishment, and Development Finance, including Lendhub’s ability to now offer AVM’s on residential bridging loans. We focused on the unique aspects of our financing, including our competitive rates, excellent service, and the tailored guidance we provide at each stage of the process.

Our team also provided insights into the flexibility of our loan offerings, made possible by our institutional funding sources and private capital, which enables us to creatively structure bespoke deals—even in situations where our institutional funding may not be sufficient.

A major talking point was our upcoming platform, designed to address common challenges faced by brokers and borrowers. With an official launch and announcement coming soon, we were able to provide a few teasers which generated excitement around the solutions it will soon bring to the market. Watch this space as I guarantee it is unlike any other lending platform currently out there.

Audience Engagement and Reactions

Our stand was buzzing throughout the day, with the crepes and pick ‘n mix proving excellent conversation starters. This provided a unique opportunity for our team to engage with attendees while they waited, leading to valuable discussions and connections.

Darius and I even had the chance to be interviewed by one of our brokers, Tariq Tohala from Navigate Finance, where Darius shared some insights into the upcoming platform, and I spoke about the work and planning that goes into making events like this such a success.

Lendhub’s win for "Most Creative Stand" was a fantastic moment for our team, especially for me and Gabriel Garson Carvalho, our Marketing Executive. It highlighted the value of our efforts and the brand image we’re building.

Our team spoke with a diverse audience, including brokers, finance professionals, investors, and developers, ultimately making over 100 meaningful connections, with initial enquiries already coming in from about 15% of those we met.

Key Takeaways from the FP Show

This year’s Finance Professional Show brought a fantastic turnout, with an impressive number of visitors stopping by our stand. Our new AVM offering and the recent enhancements to our processes were met with great feedback, further solidifying Lendhub’s position as a true challenger in the industry.

A particularly valuable takeaway was the insight we gained into the challenges borrowers often face during property purchases and loan processes, such as poor communication and delays. These conversations reinforced our confidence in Lendhub’s strong market positioning, efficient operations, and the exciting potential of our upcoming platform.

By addressing these common pain points, we’re committed to delivering a borrowing experience that’s seamless, reliable, and unlike anything else in the market.

Looking Ahead to 2025

With 2024’s FP Show behind us, we’re already looking toward an exciting 2025. Lendhub’s commitment to being different and leading the charge in the industry will only grow stronger as we focus on expanding our marketing efforts.

Our goal is to engage more widely with our industry, enhancing the recognition we’ve achieved and innovating new ways to meet our clients’ needs. We’re ready to keep changing the game, reaching new heights, and setting the bar even higher for what’s possible in property finance.
